If your Add to Cart button is unresponsive or allowing incorrect quantity selections, it may be due to a required app update or missing product data.
1. Approve the new app permissions
Due to recent Shopify updates, Nivoda Connect requires a quick one-time approval to maintain proper functionality.
To fix this:
-
Go to your Shopify admin
-
Click on Nivoda Connect in the sidebar
- Click Approve or Update when prompted
Without this step, the Add to Cart feature will not function correctly, and customers may be able to modify product quantities inappropriately.
2. Ensure the Nivoda Stock ID metafield is set up
If the issue continues, check that the Nivoda Stock ID product metafield exists in your store. This is required for proper app performance.
To verify:
-
Go to Shopify Settings → Metafields and metaobjects→ Products
- Look for the Nivoda Stock ID metafield
3. (For Pro plan subscribers only) Ensure Shipping Rates are set up for the Nivoda Fulfillment location if Automatic Ordering is enabled
If you're a Pro plan subscriber you are eligible for Automatic Ordering. However, if you don't have shipping rates set up for the Nivoda Fulfillment location in Settings > Shipping and Delivery on your Shopify admin, the "Add to Cart" button will not work.
To resolve this issue, you can follow the steps outlined in this help centre article and Shopify's guide on how to add a shipping rate.
