Many suppliers in India close for Diwali, and orders placed with them after November 4 will experience shipping delays until November 11, when suppliers start reopening. To avoid delays, order from suppliers in India by November 4, or choose Nivoda Express stones, which ship as usual throughout this time period.
This article explains which orders are affected, how to plan around the closure, and what the Diwali messages in your Nivoda account mean.
Key dates
| Date | What happens |
|---|---|
| Until November 4 | Orders from suppliers in India are processed as normal. This is the last day we recommend ordering to avoid Diwali delays. |
| November 5 – November 10 | Many suppliers in India are closed for Diwali. Reference item specific delivery times, as they will reflect supplier provided closure dates. |
| November 11 | Suppliers in India resume operations and orders begin to ship after confirming availability. |
| Any day | Nivoda Express stones and stones from non-India suppliers ship as usual. |
November 4 is set two to three days before the expected closure, so suppliers have time to prepare your order before they close.
Which orders are affected
Only stones from suppliers in India are affected. The supplier's country appears on the item card, next to the supplier name.
Orders from suppliers outside India are not affected by the Diwali closures, and neither are Nivoda Express stones. If an order contains stones from several suppliers, each stone follows its own supplier's timing, so some stones in the same order may ship before others.
How to avoid delays
- Order from suppliers in India by November 4. Stones ordered by then are expected to arrive before the closure affects them.
- Choose Nivoda Express stones if you need a stone during the closure. Use the Express filter in search to see only Express stones.
- Review your cart and shortlists. Items that may be affected are labeled, so you can swap them for Express or non-India stones before you check out.
- Plan for orders already placed. Check the Orders page for items labeled as affected, and let your customers know if a delivery date may move.
